WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THE ASSG?

Qualifications for FULL MEMBERSHIP

To become a full member of the ASSG you need to have made a substantial creative contribution to the profession of screen sound been involved for at least 5 years in the profession of screen sound in Australia
For Full Membership, you need to be nominated by another Full Member of the ASSG, and the membership needs to be approved by the Committee of the ASSG. A financial member can vote and stand for election.

Qualifications for ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

A person is qualified to be an associate member of the ASSG if they are capable of making a contribution to the Objects of the ASSG.
For Associate Membership you also need to be nominated by a Full Member of the ASSG, and the membership needs to be approved by the Committee of the ASSG. Associate Members have no voting rights. They are not entitled to hold any office-bearing positions, or to become a Committee member, or nominate any person for membership of the ASSG. Apart from these conditions, Associate Members have the same priviledges and obligations as the Full Members of the ASSG.

FEES

There is no entrance fee for the ASSG. The annual fee of $88 is applicable to both Full and Associate Members, includes GST and is tax deductible. The ASSG financial year is from July to June.
