  •   NEW HEAD OF SOUND FOR AFTRS
     

    Vice President of the ASSG, John Haeny, has been appointed as the new Head of Sound for the Australian Film, Television and Radio School.

    John has been Sound Designer and Supervising Sound Effects Editor on thirty-five feature films and thirty-six mini-series. Winner of the British Academy Award for Outstanding Sound Editing for a Feature Film on The Fabulous Baker Boys, John has also received six Emmy and six Golden Reel nominations.

    AFTRS Director Rod Bishop said, "The School is most fortunate to obtain the services of such an experienced "soundie". John's wealth of experience will be of enormous benefit to the AFTRS and the Australian Film and Television industries."
