    The 48th MPSE Golden Reel Awards banquet was held on the 24th March, 2001, at the Century Plaza Hotel in Century City California.

    Liam Price, winner of the John Barry Sales Student Encouragement Award at the 2000 Screen Sound Awards, received 2 out of the 5 student film nominations, and won the award for:

    BEST STUDENT SOUND EDITING
    AUSTRALIAN FILM, TV AND RADIO SCHOOL
    “INTRANSIT”

    Liam was at the ceremony in Los Angeles to receive the award.
